US: Arrests Made Outside Delaney Hall as ICE-Protester Standoff Enters Sixth Day

Two people were arrested late Tuesday outside the Delaney Hall immigration detention center in Newark, as confrontations between ICE agents and demonstrators entered a sixth day. The Department of Homeland Security said the pair were charged with assaulting federal officers, while the person who filmed this video claimed on social media that one of those arrested was a medic.

US: Secret Service Shoots Armed Man Near White House, Bystander Wounded

Secret Service agents shot and wounded an armed man near the White House on Monday, May 4 after he fired at officers. A 15-year-old bystander was grazed but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The episode began around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of 15th Street Southwest and Independence Avenue, when officers approached the man, who then fled on foot and fired at them. President Trump was inside the White House and was not in danger. No law enforcement officers were injured.
